As we all know your wedding day can be pretty pricey. I've made a list of a few ways a bride on a budget can save money without looking like a budget bride, Perfect.
1) Trim the guest list.
You don't need every man and his dog to witness your wedding, the ceremony should be a group of people that mean a lot to you and your partner. This might be hard if you have a big family and friends but what me and my Husband to be are doing is inviting close family no more than 50 to the wedding then inviting others to the party after.
2) Think on your feet, Don't fall for the shoe trap.
So ladies think back to the last wedding you went to, what did the brides shoes look like? you most likely won't remember. what a waste of money right?
you don't need designer or expensive wedding shoes, you can find something just as classy and comfortable on the highstreet.
3) Two for the price of one,
Why Don't you have your favors as place names? sound a bit silly but it actually looks good, put names on favor boxes or little hand made tags on favor bags.
4) Have two cakes,
Wedding cakes are really expensive my two ways round this are:
- To have a cupcake tower with a small wedding cake on top to cut in to. cupcakes look cute and are a lot cheaper than a 3 tiered cake and everyone will get one.
- To have a small wedding cake for cutting in to for photos and to also have a couple of plain cakes. I think this is a good idea you could have different flavors that appeal to everyone for example chocolate and Victoria sponge and you don't look like a budget bride, just thoughtful.
5) Up-cycle,
Why don't you reuse jam jars as centerpieces add flowers and candles for a rustic effect. You could also use small jam jars as favors, add sweets and cover with a bit or material and tie with string or a bow.
